Creative writing workshop for authors under the theme “Family” where they can address any story related to the children in their communities and between their family members.
Workshop Title: "In the Family, There Are Many Memories and Stories"
Participants: Those interested in writing for children. No prior writing experience is necessary.
The workshop's main objective:
Each participant will write a children's story on the theme of "family," using a style appropriate for their chosen age group, even if it's their first writing experience. The workshop doesn't focus on language learning or grammar; it helps participants transform a memory, a simple event they've experienced, or even imagined into a story that children will understand and love.
Workshop Outcome:
Understand the elements of a children's story: characters, plot, conflict or problem, resolution, and ending. Use simple language appropriate for the child's age group.
Transform a real or imagined family situation into a story that suits the child's interests and developmental stage.
Participate in a group discussion of their text and provide and receive constructive feedback that contributes to its development and improvement.
Get a first draft of a story that is ready or can be further developed.
Please note that participants who register for the workshop are required to attend all three days of the program. Partial attendance will not be permitted.
